Public Administrators must be civil

Politicians are the reason for the rising tensions in Nigeria today. Now they have entered into government bringing us to a new frontier in the dilapidation of the fabric of our moral existence and exposing our nationhood to global scrutiny with the attendant negative results they are trying too hard to refute.

I just heard audio from Reno Omokri’s twitter page in which Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi acknowledged publicly that the president does not “care” what people write about him?

Brothers and sisters!!!

Before we allow politicians to completely erase the sanctity of morality and fully enthrone the bastardization of civility in our land (Permit my plenty grammar), I urge us to fully ponder over the possibility that some equally powerful people like him may find his utterances quite unsavory.

What will then happen when these people start to employ their resources to prove that the recent happenings are the effect of those statements and validate his erroneous postulations after their occurrence? (forgive plenty grammar… again). It would seem that this is a game to them and invariably could be treated with impunity…by them (Politicians and public administrators)

You will notice the rising spate of senseless killings plaguing the country today. Ponder over these: Insecurity – increasing
Sovereign debt – increasing
Poverty – Increasing
Insurgency – increasing
Corruption – increasing
Maternal mortality – increasing
Infant mortality – increasing
Infrastructure deficit – increasing Per Capita income – reducing
Sovereign wealth – reducing
Access to free healthcare – reducing
Life Expectancy – reducing
Access to education – reducing

You will also notice that there are so many Nigerians and even foreigners who come on TV and radio to proffer solutions to Nigeria’s many problems. The richest man in the world, Bill Gates is one of them.

Now, with the understanding of the paragraph above, kindly ask yourself why it seems as if the insecurity keeps increasing? Is it all a game
To some wealthy and influential
Connected individuals
Who have access
To unlimited funding?

Making it possible for the violence to persist? Even with the prevalence of cheap technology that can yield better results than their currently expensive efforts that have brought very little benefits?

I call on the honorable minister of information to call the “The most distinguished” minister to mind his utterances. For Nigerians are not fools but peaceful.

Politicians are the reason for the rising tensions in Nigeria today. Now they have entered into government bringing us to a new frontier in the dilapidation of the fabric of our moral existence and exposing our nationhood to global scrutiny with the attendant negative results they are trying too hard to refute.

The governments decision to implement austerity in 2014 led to nationwide protest in the worlds oldest democracy.

The Greek ALMOST burnt down the house of parliament in Athens a few years ago because of maladministration and a policy about austerity. The Arab spring happened because of maladministration! The United States is at the cusp of government break down because of alleged maladministration. The British BREXIT exercise is almost in jeopardy and the fidelity of the British identity under sever threat because of maladministration.

Maladministration is a hydra-headed monster that must be decapitated.

Nigeria is the most populous country in the world, the level of maladministration is evident in various reports floating through cyberspace and global media airwaves currently. I beseech all politicians to guard their utterances.

I think that should actually be the first line of defence and the first line of encouragement for elected and public administrators, elected officials and government executives to creating a peaceful environment and not to encourage the order of all wild animals (Pythons and Crocodiles), that should be in tourist attractions to generate revenue and educate our youth on wildlife, to go stomping in all regions a couple of weeks before the elections.

I am utterly dismayed at this statement by the minister who thinks that with his very poor attempt at comic relief in a conversation that he is seen in the position of a role model will be applauded for presenting the president in such an uncivilized manner. And it will be defended by some people on social media.

We must think and think hard. Human lives are not pawns!!! The same pot that cooks your food can burn your hand.

Be civil!
